1.How To Measure The Length Of Hair Wig In The Right Way?

• Step 1: To begin, place the hair on the wig stand or lay the hair on the table. Then stop by taking some of the hair from the top and holding it up. Take the measuring tape press one end at the hair roots, and measure along to the bottom tape of the human hair. You have one piece of data, that's not finished. It's quite an inaccurate read from one-time measuring.

• Step 2: Then take some hair from the middle part of the hair and measure it in the same with the first step. One more measure is necessary.

• Step 3: After that, take some hair from the bottom of the hair and measure it. By doing so, you can obtain reasonable hair length from three times measuring.

2. How To Measure Your Head Size For Wig?

The key to a good fit is forming an accurate head measurement, which can be difficult too. Many women opt to come into the store and have us do it. Others prefer to do it at home, which also works.So, here’s how to do this properly.

1) Head Circumference

This measures the distance around your head. Starting at the center of the front hairline, place the tape flat against your head, going just above the ear towards the back of the head, keeping the tape at the nape of your neck, and go around to the opposite side of your head, just above the opposite ear and returning to the center of the front hairline.

2) Front To Nape Of Neck

This measures the length of your head from the front to the nape of your neck. To determine where the nape of your neck is, tilt your head back and look up. Where your neck bends and may even develop a skin fold, is where your nape is. You want the bottom of the wig to sit right above this area so that when you do tilt your head back that far, your wig will not shift on your head.

This area is often right at the occipital bone, but be sure to take the measurement with your neck bent down so that you are looking at your shoes. Starting at the front hairline, measure directly across the middle top of your head to the area that you have determined is your nape.

3) Ear To Ear Across The Forehead

This measurement measures the width of your forehead. Place tape at the point on your hairline next to your ear. Measure across the forehead to the opposite side stopping at the hairline near your ear.

4) Ear To Ear Over the Top

This measurement measures the width of the center of your head. Place tape at the point on your hairline next to your ear. And measure across the crown of the head to the opposite side stopping at the hairline near your ear.

5) Temple To Temple Across The Back Of Head

This measures the width of the back of your head. Place the tape at the temples on your hairline and then measure across the middle back of the head to the opposite side temple, stopping at the hairline.

6) Nape Of Neck

This measures the width of your neck. Place the tape at the lowest point on your hairline and measure across the neck to the opposite side.

3.How To Measure Wig Cap Size?

1) Measure Ear-Crown-Ear Of The Wig Cap

First, you need to prepare a tape measure and wig. Place the wig on the table with the inner wig cap facing up. Pull the measuring tape and place it on the left side of the wig cap so that it spans directly above the inner side of the wig cap and reaches the right side of the wig cap.

At this time, you should hold the number on the tape measure with your fingers and do not move it. Remove it from your head while keeping your finger in its original position so you can see and record the correct number.

2) Measure The Length Of Wig Cap Before And After

Place the tape measure on the inside of the wig cap to show the middle of the hairline. The tape measure should not be too far forward or too far back. It must be in the middle of the hairline. Then move the tape measure along a straight line from the top and center of the wig cap, and finally reach the back side of the wig cap, be careful not to move the number held by your fingers, and record the length before and after.

3) Measure The Front And Circumference Of  Wig Cap

Place the tape measure at the hairline of the wig cap, move it in a circle along the wig cap, and finally record the data. Whether you're buying a wig based on your wig or head measurements, sometimes the fit isn't always perfect. But don't worry, because most wigs are designed with straps and elastic for you to adjust the size of the wig, making it larger or smaller to give you a snug fit.

Adjustable shoulder straps come in 3 forms: elastic, Velcro straps, and hook straps.

Elastic straps: Every wig cap has two straps. Pull the straps and the mesh cap will become tighter, thus increasing the tension; stretch the straps and the mesh cap will loosen, thereby reducing the tension.​

Velcro straps: As with any other product that uses velcro, simply pull the straps toward the center to tighten them or outwards to loosen them.

Hook strap: A strap with hooks and multiple slots at various intervals. The closer the hook is to the center, the tighter the hook, and vice versa.
